Cinematic History Channel Production
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
I’m building a history channel that viewers will binge for pleasure as much as for facts, with the same immersive pull you find in top-tier Netflix documentaries. My core format is documentary storytelling—no dry lectures, just tight narrative arcs, vivid re-creations, dynamic editing and sound that make the past feel alive.
For the initial stage I want a creative partner who can take one historical topic and shepherd it from concept to polished master, proving the tone and workflow we’ll replicate across the series. Depth of research is essential, but equal weight goes to pacing and emotional resonance: sweeping openings, cliff-hanger act breaks, character-driven structure, cinematic colour grade and layered sound design.
Deliverables
• A 15-20 minute pilot documentary episode ready for YouTube release (4K, stereo mix)
• Script, narrated VO track, and all project files
• Thumbnail/key art that instantly signals “premium streaming quality”
To be sure we’re on the same wavelength, please include a link to a documentary you’ve produced that showcases cinematic pacing, along with a brief outline of how you would structure this pilot.
If you love history but hate dull lectures, let’s make the past binge-worthy together.
