Adobe Premiere Video Editor for 8-10 minute Horror Film

Video Editor Needed — 8-10 Minute Psychological Horror Short Film (Adobe Premiere)
I’m an independent filmmaker looking for a skilled video editor to cut my psychological horror short film, part of *The Unraveling* anthology series. This is an 8-10 minute narrative short about an AI double taking over a woman’s identity.
**Reference / the look I’m going for:**
For tone, style, and polish, watch the **ALTER** horror channel on YouTube (youtube.com/@alter) — especially AI/tech-themed shorts like **“Unprompted” by Stephen Packer** (AI takes over a writer’s life) and **“Slaughterbots.”** I want a warm, intimate opening that shifts to a cold, glitchy, unsettling tone as the AI takes over. Digital glitch/corruption effects are a key visual element. ALTER’s short films are exactly the scale and quality level I’m aiming for.
**The footage:**
- 61 clips total, covering different scenes and cuts
- Shot on Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K in **BRAW format** (large files — you must be set up to handle BRAW and have adequate storage/an external drive)
- Scenes are organized in **separate folders**, with all the **sound/audio for each scene included in its folder**
- Scene order runs: Scene 1, 1A, 1C, then Scene 2, 3, 4, 5 (full script with detailed notes provided once we connect)
**What I need you to do:**
- Edit the film together following my script and detailed shot notes
- Sound: balance dialogue, clean up audio, add sound design where needed
- **VFX/Glitch effects:** About 6-7 glitch/digital effects to add. I have examples/samples of the look I want for most of them, so you’d be recreating and adding those into the film. You would create the phone glitch effect specifically. (I’ll provide my reference samples.)
- Light editorial color/cleanup so clips match (final color grade is handled separately by my colorist)
- **3 vertical social clips:** Edit 3 short vertical clips (9:16) for TikTok and Instagram, about 30-60 seconds each, pulled from the film for promo
- Deliver an **editable Adobe Premiere project file (.prproj)** — NOT just an exported video — so I can make my own tweaks and lock it before color
**Sound & Music:**
- Any sound effects or music used must be **commercial-use and license-free** (please provide license links for anything used)
- If you’re able to compose original music/a soundtrack, that’s a plus and would be helpful. If not, that’s completely fine — licensed/royalty-free music is okay.
**IMPORTANT — workflow requirements:**
- Keep footage in original **BRAW format** in the timeline; do NOT bake in a final color grade (leave it flat/ungraded for my colorist)
- Final delivery must be an editable Premiere project I can open and adjust on my end
- Please confirm which version of Premiere Pro you use (must be compatible with mine)
**Budget & Milestones: $400 total**
- 30% to start the project
- 40% when the rough draft/first cut is done
- 30% after everything is complete and approved
- Includes up to 2 rounds of revisions
**Deliverables:**
- Final edited 8-10 min short as an editable Adobe Premiere project (.prproj) + media
- Exported viewing copy (1080p)
- 3 vertical social clips (9:16, 30-60 sec each) for TikTok/Instagram
- Any SFX/music used with license links
