Recolour Ivory Shorts to Black

I have a single high-resolution JPEG where the model’s ivory dupion shorts need to be turned into a true, textured black. Everything else in the photo must stay exactly as it is—no colour shifts, no lost highlights, and absolutely no haloing around the garment.

Because the fabric is dupion, I’m looking for professional-grade recolouring that retains the subtle slubs, creases, and light fall-off you’d expect from real black silk, not a flat paint-bucket fill. Please work nondestructively in Photoshop (layer masks, adjustment layers, blend modes) so I can tweak the result if needed.

Deliverable: the final layered PSD plus an exported JPEG at the original resolution, colour-accurate and ready for print or web.
