Realistic Frog Photo Manipulation
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I’m designing a 12 x 12-inch album cover and need a seamless photo-manipulation job: a vivid frog placed convincingly on the human tongue pictured in the photograph I have already taken. The final image must pass for an authentic photograph—no giveaway edges, mismatched lighting, or color casts—so skill with advanced masking, shading, and texture matching in Photoshop (or equivalent) is essential.
Mood & aesthetics
The cover should feel intriguing rather than playful or dark. Think subtle tension: the viewer wonders “is that real?” Natural skin tones and a true-to-life green/yellow on the frog are crucial; I like the proportions and patterning of a dart frog, but keep its coloring green to avoid the typical poison-dart brights.
Source material
I’ll supply the portrait that features the open mouth. If stock elements are needed for the frog, choose licensing that allows commercial album artwork. Please be prepared to blend lighting direction, depth of field, and shadowing so frog and tongue share the same environment.
Deliverables
• Layered PSD (or layered TIFF) at 300 DPI, 12" x 12"
• Flattened print-ready JPEG/PNG in sRGB
• Any adjustment LUTs or custom brushes used, embedded or provided separately for future tweaks
Acceptance check
The frog must hold up at full size without visible compositing artifacts when zoomed 200 %. Color grading should remain consistent across skin, frog, and background. Shadows should align with the original light source, and edges must incorporate natural tongue texture so no hard cutouts appear.
If this sounds like a fit, let me know your estimated turnaround and a sample of similar realism-focused edits you’ve completed.
