Poster PSD Print-Ready Fix
Budget: $10 – $30 CAD
My printer kicked back my poster because it found an “artifact” sitting in the image section of the layered PSD. All text, colours, bleeds, and dimensions are already set; I simply need that stray element removed so the file passes their pre-flight check.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
• Open the original PSD, locate the artifact in the image layer, and cleanly remove it without affecting surrounding graphics or resolution.
• Keep the file in CMYK, 300 dpi, with bleeds and guides exactly as they are now.
• Return two files: the repaired PSD (fully layered) and a print-ready PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4 that my printer can drop straight into their RIP.
Once I have the all-clear from the press operator, the job is done. Fast turnaround appreciated—this is genuinely a quick fix for anyone comfortable in Photoshop.
