Poster Color Enhancement & Print Prep
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a finished poster in PDF format that looks decent on screen but lacks the refined, print-quality punch I’m after. Your task is to elevate the file so it comes back to me as a high-resolution, press-ready PDF suitable for a large-format print.
Here’s what matters most:
• Preserve the original design and layout exactly—no elements should move or resize.
• Prioritise natural tones when you rebalance the colours; I want lifelike richness rather than oversaturated vibrancy.
• The background colours are the weakest link right now, so give them special attention, evening out any banding or dull patches without stealing focus from the foreground.
• Adjust contrast just enough to keep the overall look balanced—neither blown-out highlights nor muddy shadows. Text and imagery should remain crisp and readable.
I typically output through Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, so working in those (or equivalent pro tools) will ensure the final file drops straight into my print workflow. Deliver a single PDF at 300 dpi, CMYK, with bleed and crop marks intact. If you need an embedded colour profile or any additional assets, just let me know early so I can supply them.
Once you’re done, I’ll check the proof on a calibrated monitor and run a small test print; if everything matches the brief above, we’re good to go.
