Portrait Canvas Texture Removal
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I want to remove slubs and pattern of canvas from a photo that can be seen at https://we.tl/t-S4cXV0q3Ov.
I want to print on canvas at size 50”X 35” this photo. Seen at that size, the slubs and the overall texture of the underlying canvas are quite visible. I would like to remove them before printing on canvas which will have its own texture. My goal would be to do this while keeping bushwork, color fidelity and edge sharpness intact.
My preference is for an aggressive reduction of both the regular canvas weave and the irregular slubs, with particular care taken around the facial areas and hands so the sitter’s features and hands remain crisp and natural. Background and clothing can be treated just as thoroughly, but if a trade-off is needed, the face must stay pristine.
So, gig is:
a) Remove or at least lessen slubs from photo;
b) Remove or at least lessen the texture of the original canvas.
If you can do this, what would you charge?
Deliverable:
• One fully retouched, print-ready file (PSD or flattened TIFF, Adobe RGB, 300 ppi at 50” × 35”) free of visible weave or slubs when viewed at 100 % in Photoshop and when proofed on a small test print.
Please let me know your fee and estimated turnaround, along with a short note on the technique you plan to use—Frequency Separation, Neural Filters, custom texture maps, or any other Photoshop workflow you trust for this kind of texture removal.
