My light-hearted fiction novel is almost ready for Amazon, and I need a vibrant cover that lets its three canine heroes leap off the page. I will hand you hi-res headshots of each dog plus a clear idea for the layout; your task is to transform that guidance into a professional, upload-ready cover.
What I’m after
• Realistic renderings of the dogs blended into a child-like, whimsical backdrop.
• Dominant palette: electric blue with pops of hot pink and purple.
• Overall mood: unmistakably playful, yet polished enough to attract adult readers.
Workflow
1. You create a rough draft from scratch—no stock backdrops—so I can fine-tune placement, typography, and color balance.
2. Once approved, you build the final files:
– Paperback full-wrap for a 6" x 9" trim (CMYK, 300 dpi, bleed and spine set with KDP Cover Calculator).
– Matching eBook cover JPG to Amazon’s size and aspect specs.
3. If KDP flags anything, you’ll troubleshoot and return corrected files within 24 hours.
Technical expectations
Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign are all fine as long as you supply the layered source file and confirm embedded fonts/licenses. The cover must pass Amazon’s automatic and manual checks; payment is released only after their acceptance notice (usually 24-72 hours).
If bold color work, photorealistic compositing, and quick turnaround KDP fixes are your sweet spot, I’d love to see your bid along with a couple of relevant samples. NO AI CAN BE USED IN MY BOOKS. TIMEFRAME WOULD BE 4 DAYS. Final editing/formatting is starting tomorrow. 90% of editing is completed.
