Photoshop Object Add/Remove

Photo #1 is of my appliance. I want to edit it to look like photo #2, where it appears as if the cord has been cut, and only the stem/stub short piece remains attached to the appliance. Has to look real. Maybe make the "cut" on the right side of the image, in the area where the cord no longer overlaps the appliance

Photos 3 or 4 could also be used as the basis
