Master’s Thesis Image Enhancements
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have more than twenty JPEG photos that will appear in my master’s thesis, and they still need a professional, feminine touch before I send the manuscript to print. Every image must look consistent, sharp and publication-ready, so I’m looking for a detail-oriented editor (I’d feel most comfortable working with a woman) who can handle three tasks on each file:
• Clean up and improve overall quality, removing noise or artefacts without losing detail
• Balance colour and lighting so the set looks harmonious on both screen and paper
• Overlay short Arabic captions and figure numbers exactly where I indicate, using the thesis font and style guide
I’ll supply a shared folder containing the original high-resolution JPEGs plus a simple spreadsheet that lists the text for each overlay and any special notes. You’ll return:
• A retouched JPEG for every original, saved at 300 dpi
• A separate, compressed web version so I can preview everything quickly
• A brief change log (file name, adjustments, date) so I can track work done
Acceptance criteria
1. No new artefacts visible at 100 % zoom.
2. Colours match across the series and print accurately on a CMYK test sheet.
3. All captions sit on the correct coordinates and respect margin requirements.
If you have solid experience with Photoshop or Affinity Photo and can turn this around within a week, I’d love to see a link to similar academic or technical images you’ve polished.
