US Map Photo Mosaic Print
Budget: $10 – $50 USD
I have about 1,800 individual headshots that need to come together as a single photo mosaic shaped precisely like the outline of the United States. The faces must be placed in a truly random order—no regional or tonal grouping—while still reading clearly when viewed up close. Every portrait should retain high-resolution clarity so the finished piece looks crisp both from a distance and when someone leans in to pick out a face.
The final artwork has to be delivered fully “print-ready” for WhiteWall.com, so please prepare the file with the color profile, resolution, bleed, and format specifications they require. If you already know their exact template settings, great; if not, confirm them and build the document accordingly. I’m open to your recommendation on overall dimensions as long as the proportions stay accurate and it can be printed as one seamless piece on WhiteWall’s standard large-format materials (acrylic, metal, or photo print under acrylic are all options).
Because this will hang in a high-traffic space, color accuracy and edge sharpness are non-negotiable. You’re welcome to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or dedicated mosaic software—as long as you can supply:
• A flattened, high-resolution TIFF or JPG ready for direct upload to WhiteWall
• The layered working file (PSD/AI) so minor tweaks can be handled later
• A low-res proof for quick approval before final export
If you have previous mosaic projects in your portfolio, especially map silhouettes, that will help me gauge fit quickly. Looking forward to seeing how you weave all 1,800 faces into one cohesive, eye-catching map.
