Large-Format Portrait Retouching

I handle occasional commissions for wall-sized portraits that must hold up under very close inspection. Each file arrives as a high-resolution RAW or 16-bit TIFF and needs refined skin smoothing, precise blemish removal, and balanced colour work before it can go to press.

The final use is strictly print—think exhibition posters and tall banners—so tonal consistency, accurate skin tones and zero artefacts at 300 dpi are critical. Backgrounds are left as captured; the focus is the subject’s face and overall colour harmony.

We can talk through visual references together and lock in a style guide before you start on the first image. I’m happy to share previous prints and cropping specs so everything matches the existing series.

Deliverables for each portrait
• Master 16-bit TIFF, colour-corrected and retouched
• Layered PSD with all adjustments intact
• Flattened sRGB or Adobe RGB JPEG proof (3,000 px longest edge)
• Short note on the steps taken for future consistency

Please work in Photoshop or a comparable professional tool and keep all edits non-destructive. Turnaround is flexible—quality is more important than speed—but I appreciate realistic estimates up front.
