KDP Paperback Formatting & Cover
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m ready to publish my paperback on Amazon KDP and want the process kept as simple as possible. I’ll supply the complete manuscript as a Word document; you’ll take it from there.
Interior formatting
• Trim size must be 6" × 9"
• Black-and-white interiors only
• Output: print-ready PDF that sails through KDP’s pre-press check
Cover design & production
I don’t have a concept yet, so I’ll rely on your creative lead. I’m drawn to a classic, traditional look—think clean typography, balanced composition, and a timeless feel. You will develop the front, spine, and back layout, incorporate the KDP template for the exact page count I provide, and deliver a press-quality PDF that meets Amazon’s specifications.
Deliverables
1. Print-ready interior PDF (formatted to KDP specs)
2. Print-ready full-cover PDF (front, spine, back)
3. Source files for both interior and cover (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or similar)
Once both PDFs pass KDP’s automatic preview without errors, the project is complete.
