High Contrast B&W Headshot Retouching
Budget: $2 – $8 CAD
I have a batch of children’s headshots that need to be converted to crisp, high-contrast black and white while still feeling natural and timeless. Every file has already been culled and exposure-balanced; what I need from you is careful retouching:
• Basic image cleanup – stray hairs, the occasional drool spot, patches of dry skin, and any tiny blemishes that would distract parents from the child’s expression.
• Gentle skin smoothing that keeps realistic texture; no over-airbrushed “plastic” look.
• Background refinement – remove the few visible camera-sensor spots and any dirt marks so the seamless paper looks pristine.
• Consistent, high-contrast monochrome conversion across the entire set.
Please work in the latest desktop versions of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom so your settings and profiles align with mine. If you happen to use Evoto for facial tone balance, great—just keep the layered PSD or XMP workflow editable so I can review every step.
Deliverables
1. One full-resolution JPG (sRGB) per image
2. A quick note on any edge cases or shots that required extra attention.
Once the sample file is approved, I’ll release the rest of the gallery. Looking forward to seeing your clean, child-friendly retouching style.
