Summary
We are hiring a graphic designer to create 100 professional safety/compliance signs designed for 8x12 aluminum printing. These signs will be sold individually and in bundles of 3–5 signs (“station kits”). The designs must be highly visual (pictograms, diagrams, flowcharts, checklists), not simple text templates.
We are not looking for basic “DANGER/NOTICE + sentence” layouts. We can do those internally. We need premium, facility-grade, instructional and infographic-style signage that looks modern, consistent, and ready for real-world use.
What Success Looks Like
• Clean, consistent visual system across all signs (fonts, icon style, spacing, hierarchy).
• Signs are readable from 6–15 feet away.
• Signs feel like a cohesive product line, not a set of random posters.
• Each bundle looks like a professional “station kit” worth $49–$99, and each sign looks premium enough to sell individually for $20+.

Deliverables
• 100 unique 8x12 safety signs organized into 20 bundles (5 signs each).
• Each bundle shares a consistent look (palette + icon system + layout grid).
• Signs are instructional or diagram-heavy, not text-only.
Design Types Required (examples)
Your work must include a mix of:
• Flowcharts / decision trees
• Step-by-step instruction posters
• Do/Don’t panels with pictograms
• Checklists with icons
• Zone diagrams / floor-style layout graphics
• Comparison charts / matrices (PPE selector, response actions, etc.)
• Wayfinding-style panels (arrows, “you are here” layouts as templates)
Content Source
We will provide:
• Bundle topics and sign titles (or you can propose them if you have experience).
• Any required wording, where needed.
You will:
• Turn that content into high-quality visual sign designs.
• Improve readability and layout without changing meaning.
Hard Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
1. Not simple templates: At least 60% of each sign must be visual (icons/diagram/chart/layout), not just text.
2. Original design: No stolen content. No unlicensed icons. Use your own illustrations or properly licensed icon sets you can legally transfer for commercial use.
3. Consistent icon style: All icons must match (stroke weight, corner radius, perspective).
4. Print-ready: Must be created specifically for 8x12 aluminum.
5. Scalable and editable: We must be able to update text later without rebuilding the design.
Print Specifications (Build for Production)
• Size: 8 in x 12 in (portrait and landscape allowed per bundle, but keep consistent within a bundle)
• Resolution: 300 DPI minimum for raster elements
• Color mode: CMYK preferred for print files (RGB source acceptable if print output remains accurate)
• Bleed: 0.125 inch (3mm) bleed
• Safe margins: 0.25 inch from edges (no critical text/icons inside this zone)
• Avoid ultra-thin lines (nothing hairline). Use production-safe stroke weights.
File Deliverables (Must Provide All)
For every sign:
1. Editable source: Adobe Illustrator (.AI) OR vector SVG (preferred AI).
2. Print-ready PDF (fonts outlined).
3. PNG preview (for listing images).
4. Linked assets embedded or included in an organized folder.

• Icons that communicate instantly, minimal reading required
• “Station board” look (like something installed at a facility)
What We Do NOT Want
• Generic Canva-style poster look
• Crowded text blocks
• Clipart mashups
• Low-contrast colors
• Inconsistent icon styles
• “OSHA header bar” clones for every sign (we want variety and premium design)
Work Process
• Phase 1: 3 sample signs from 1 bundle to prove style (paid milestone).
• Phase 2: Build out the full first bundle (5 signs) after feedback.
• Phase 3: Produce remaining bundles in batches of 2–4 bundles per milestone.
• You must accept structured feedback and iterate quickly.
