Comic Halftone Conversion for DTF

Job ID: 39776379

Budget: $10 – $300 USD

I have a set of original illustrations created in a bold, comic style that I want to run on a DTF printer for garment production. I’m happy with the artwork itself—what I need from you is the technical magic of converting each piece into clean, print-ready halftones that the DTF process can reproduce accurately on fabric without losing that punchy comic look.

You’ll be working with layered PSD or high-res PNG source files (whichever suits your workflow in Photoshop, Illustrator, or a comparable tool). Please preserve line clarity, ensure smooth tonal transitions, and keep ink coverage balanced so the final transfer lays down evenly. Finished files should arrive flattened in the correct colour mode and resolution for DTF, ready to queue straight to the printer.

When you send your proposal, focus on the method you’ll follow—screen ruling choices, dot angles, any RIP settings you’ll target, and how you test for moiré. A quick example or short walkthrough of a past halftone job in a comic aesthetic will go a long way toward showing me you understand the brief.

I’ll supply the first illustration the moment we start and, if all goes well, more will follow. Looking forward to reading your detailed plan and seeing how you’ll bring these comic images to life on fabric.
