Brighten Dark Photo Evenly

I have a single photo that I really like, but poor lighting left it looking dull and under-exposed. I need an experienced photo editor to increase the overall brightness while keeping the tones natural and consistent across the entire image—no selective bright spots, just an even lift that lets the details breathe.
Please work in your preferred professional tool (Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One—whatever you’re most comfortable with). The final file should come back to me in the original resolution, saved both as a high-quality JPEG and in a layered format so I can make minor tweaks later if needed.
