Book Cover Text Fix

I need a quick fix for my book cover. The cover consists of a background photo with some text on top.

Current Issue: I’ve been editing the text using Paint, which resulted in some black squares appearing behind the text, covering the photo.

Requirements:
- Remove black squares behind the text

Additional Information:
- I do not have the original background photo without the text, only the edited version
- No other modifications to the photo background are needed and the text must remain the same

Ideal skills:
- Proficient in Photoshop
- Experience with text overlay and image correction
