Book Cover Refresh & Corrections
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a finished manuscript ready to go, but the cover still needs polishing before I send everything to the printer and the online marketplaces. The current file requires a careful overhaul—colours feel slightly off, text placement could be tighter, and the overall layout isn’t as balanced as it should be. I also suspect the main image could pop more with the right retouching.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Correct colour palette so it reproduces consistently in both CMYK (print) and RGB (digital)
• Refine typography: adjust size, kerning, and positioning for better hierarchy and readability
• Improve overall layout balance, making sure spine and back-cover elements align perfectly with trim lines
• Perform subtle image editing—clean-ups, contrast tweaks, and any small fixes that make the artwork sharper
• Suggest fresh design-element and imagery ideas that could elevate the visual impact without changing the core concept
I work mainly in Photoshop and InDesign, so layered PSD or AI/INDD files plus ready-to-upload PDFs (300 dpi, with bleed) will be the final hand-off. A quick note explaining your creative choices will help me understand each improvement.
