Atmospheric Cinematic Photo Edits

I have a set of eight shots that need to feel like they belong in the same moody, dark film still. Color grading and tone will carry the story, so that part deserves the most love. I’ll share a reference for the palette—deep shadows, muted highlights, a hint of grain—but please ignore frame 7 because it isn’t part of the job.

Two images require heavier compositing work. One combines a cow with a separately photographed gas mask; the other places a farmer figure inside a diorama box. They must sit naturally in the scene with believable lighting, shadows and depth of field. Everything else is straightforward atmosphere building: evening-style contrast, cinematic vignettes and subtle sharpening where it counts.

I work in Adobe Photoshop, so keep your workflow non-destructive—smart objects, masks, clearly named adjustment layers—and return each file as a layered PSD. When I drop the eight finals side-by-side, the grade, contrast curve and overall mood should match perfectly.
