Fix Backlit Portrait Photographs
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I recently shot several indoor portraits in front of huge, sun-filled windows and the backlighting is proving tricky. Even after running them through Adobe Lightroom, I’m still fighting harsh highlights and that blown-out glow around my subjects.
What I need is a subtle, soft finish that keeps skin tones natural while taming the bright window light—not a dramatic HDR effect or super-vibrant punch, just a balanced, refined look where the viewers’ eyes go to my clients, not the glare behind them.
Please work from the RAW files I’ll supply, return fully edited high-resolution JPEGs (and, if possible, the updated .XMP or .LRCAT settings so I can learn from your adjustments), and keep all image dimensions untouched. If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s get started right away; the sooner these portraits are ready, the better.
