Victorian Certificate Border Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m producing a formal certificate that needs a border echoing the ornate look of late-1800s stationery—think richly engraved documents and Victorian share certificates. The frame should feel elegant and sophisticated rather than overtly regal, so please lean on graceful line work over heavy crests.
Key visual cues
• Intricate detailing is essential; the viewer should notice new flourishes each time they look.
• Use classic floral patterns and flowing foliate scrolls as the backbone of the design.
• Work in a tasteful cameo-style dog and a small angel figure—subtle enough to blend with the scrollwork yet still clearly recognisable when examined closely.
Style references
I’m picturing the fine hatch shading and curved symmetry common in 19th-century intaglio prints. Gentle sepia or deep-ink tones are welcome for previewing, but the final artwork must be delivered in fully editable vector format (AI, EPS or layered PDF) so I can adjust colours before print.
Deliverables
1. Print-ready vector border sized for US Letter and A4.
2. A flattened high-resolution PNG/JPEG for quick mock-ups.
3. Any custom patterns, brushes or textures you create while building the file.
I’ll supply wording and inner layout later; for now, focus on nailing the border. If you have relevant portfolio pieces, feel free to point me toward them when you bid.
