Technical Book Illustrations — Batch Redesign & Modernization (≈190 figures)
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I am refreshing a published technical engineering book and need approximately 190 existing illustrations updated into a clean, modern, and highly readable visual style.
These are not new conceptual designs. Each figure already exists and already communicates the correct technical meaning. Your task is to redraw and modernize them in a consistent visual system—improving clarity, spacing, typography, and overall readability—while preserving the original intent and information.
You will receive:
• Existing illustrations (PDF / PNG)
• Surrounding book text for technical context
• Notes where clarification is helpful (not new concepts)
Scope & Workflow
1. We will start with 4–5 sample figures to establish the final visual style.
2. Once the style is approved, the same system is applied across the remaining figures.
3. Minor adjustments may be requested for consistency, but the goal is a streamlined, low-iteration process.
Deliverables
• Fully editable vector source files (AI or SVG)
• High-resolution PNG exports suitable for print and digital
• A short style guide (colors, stroke weights, fonts) so future figures remain consistent

• Print: 300 dpi, CMYK
• Digital: RGB, scalable
• Designed for clarity in both print and tablet/e-reader viewing
What I’m Looking For
• Experience with technical or instructional illustrations
• Strong sense of hierarchy and visual clarity
• Comfort working systematically across many figures
• Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, or equivalent
