Silkscreen Owl Vector Separation

Job ID: 40175661

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

I will give you a high-resolution PSD/PNG of an owl standing watch on a small island. The file is packed with gradients and soft shading that give it a realistic, tactical vibe and that realism must survive the jump to vector. The owl itself—right down to the feathers and subtle textures—is the star of the show, so every line you redraw in Illustrator has to serve that level of detail while avoiding anything cartoon-like.

Here is what has to happen:
• Re-draw the entire scene in Illustrator so the result is 100 % vector and fully editable (.AI or .EPS).
• Separate the art into no more than six spot colours: White, Green, Olive Drab, Brown, Blue, plus the negative space of the black shirt to act as our shadow layer. Any area that can logically be “black” should be knocked out to fabric to save an ink.
• Keep tactical realism; preserve the existing light-to-dark transitions with halftones or other screen-friendly techniques so gradients print cleanly.
• Supply a preview that shows each colour plate on its own and how they align when combined.

The design will be worn by a military unit, so registration precision and crisp detail matter. If you have experience preparing art for multi-colour screen printing—especially with complex, realistic illustrations—I’d love to see examples when you submit.
