Scientific Diagram Illustrator Required -- 2
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
Key Responsibilities:
• Redraw complex scientific diagrams from biology, biochemistry, and related disciplines with high visual accuracy and professional finish.
• Produce high-resolution, digitally illustrated diagrams suitable for academic textbooks, journals, e-learning platforms, and presentations.
• Ensure correct anatomical, cellular, and biochemical labeling aligned with scientific standards.
• Convert hand-drawn sketches, textbook images, or rough references into polished, editable digital formats.
• Maintain consistency in style, color scheme, and labeling conventions across multiple diagrams.
• Work closely with scientific editors or subject experts to incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently.
Required Skills & Expertise:
• Strong skills in scientific or medical illustration, with an eye for detail, clarity, and accuracy.
• Proficiency in using digital illustration and vector design tools such as:
o Adobe Illustrator – For vector-based illustrations, scalable diagrams, and professional design.
o CorelDRAW – For detailed vector and technical drawing, especially in academic settings.
o Inkscape – A powerful open-source alternative for SVG editing and clean diagram work.
o Photoshop or Krita – For raster-based diagram editing and artistic enhancements.
• Ability to handle layered illustrations, vector objects, and export in formats like SVG, PNG, EPS, or PDF.
Preferred Background:
• Educational background in life sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc.) OR equivalent illustration/design certification.
• Prior experience in working with scientific publishers, ed-tech platforms, or academic authors is a plus.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant diagram redraws or original scientific artwork will be required.
