SIMPLE 2D CAD Drafting + Render – To-Scale Dock & Marina Layout

Project Background / Purpose

This project is part of an upgrade to an existing marina dock system.
The marina currently consists of a fixed (solid) main dock that sits approximately 4 feet above the water level and serves three adjacent slips. Due to this elevation difference, the existing configuration does not allow practical water-level access to the slips.

To resolve this, we are adding a floating gangway in front of the slips, along with a platform and ramp system, to create safe, water-level front access to all three slips.

The purpose of this drawing is to clearly communicate how the main dock, floating gangway, slips, platform/ramp, pilings, and jet ski dock system relate to each other spatially.


This project requires:
A true-scale 2D CAD plan drawing for layout verification, and
A simple rendered visualization to help stakeholders understand the final configuration.

Project Overview
I am hiring a professional 2D CAD draftsman to produce:
A black-and-white, to-scale, top-down technical plan view, and
A clean rendered visualization created directly from the approved CAD drawing.
This is a marine dock layout, not a logo, illustration, or conceptual redesign.
Accuracy, scale, and strict adherence to the written specifications are required.


Overall Area to Be Drawn
The full layout represents a rectangular marina area measuring:
58 feet wide (east–west / left to right)
35 feet deep (north–south / top to bottom)
All dimensions are in feet.
The drawing must be created to scale.
Water vs Land Orientation (Critical for Layout)
The north (top) side of the drawing is open water
The south (bottom) side of the drawing is land
All slips open northward into the water
The floating gangway is over water
The main dock and its vertical extension are fixed to land
The main dock is located south of the floating gangway
Do not mirror, rotate, or invert the plan.
Slip Arrangement (Left to Right – Fixed Order)
The 58-foot width is divided into three adjacent slips, arranged left to right as follows:
Jet Ski Slip – 23 ft wide
Sunset One Slip – 17 ft wide
Tiki Slip – 18 ft wide
These three widths together total 58 feet exactly.
Slip Depth (Reference Dimension)
The nominal slip depth is 35 feet
This 35 feet includes the floating gangway
The floating gangway is not added on top of the 35 feet
Slip depth is measured from the inside (north) edge of the main dock to the northern extent of the slip area.

Floating Gangway
Width: 4 feet
Runs horizontally across the full 58-foot width
Located within the southern portion of the 35-foot slip depth
Occupies 4 feet of the 35-foot depth
Flush against the main dock (no water gap)

Main Dock
Width: 5 feet
Runs horizontally across the full 58-foot width
Located south of the floating gangway
Touches the floating gangway directly
The main dock is outside of the 35-foot slip depth.
Main Dock Vertical Extension (Right Side Only)
Located on the far right side of the layout
Width: 5 feet
Extends northward only from the main dock
Does not extend south
Serves the Tiki slip area

Platform & Ramp
The main dock is approximately 4 feet higher in elevation than the floating gangway
A platform is attached to the vertical dock extension
A ramp connects the platform down to the floating gangway
Include these elements logically

Pilings
Pilings define slip boundaries
Place pilings between:
Jet Ski Slip and Sunset One Slip
Sunset One Slip and Tiki Slip
The Sunset One slip has pilings on both sides
Pilings are aligned front-to-back (north–south)

Jet Ski Floating Dock System (IMPORTANT – 2D CAD MUST SHOW THIS)
Within the Jet Ski slip, there is a floating jet ski dock system that must be shown in the 2D CAD drawing.
Individual jet ski ports measure 5 ft × 12 ft
Configuration:
4 ports wide
3 ports deep
Total floating dock footprint:
20 ft wide
36 ft deep
Because this dock system is 36 feet deep, it will extend 1 foot beyond the nominal 35-foot slip depth.
This projection is intentional and correct and must be shown clearly in the drawing.
Do not shorten the dock, compress the ports, or modify slip depth to force a fit.

Jet Skis (Rendered Visualization Only)
For the rendered visualization only (not the technical CAD drawing):
Show 12 jet skis within the jet ski floating dock system
Arrangement:
4 jet skis wide
3 jet skis deep
Jet skis should be:
Generic
Clean
Correctly scaled
Neatly aligned
Do not include jet skis in the black-and-white technical drawing.
