PSD & Illustrator Conversion for Law Enforcement/Government
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am a sworn law enforcement officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Among my official duties is the administration and management of government communications, including official social media content, public safety broadcasts, press releases, and related public information materials. A substantial portion of my existing graphics was originally developed in Adobe Photoshop; however, my current workflow primarily utilizes Adobe Illustrator. Accordingly, I seek professional services to convert these files to a format that permits efficient modification and reuse—particularly for time-sensitive alerts and public information materials—while preserving full structural integrity and editability.
The scope of services required includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Preservation of the original PSD layer structure, with all layers remaining organized, clearly identified, and logically segregated.
• Delivery of all elements in a format fully editable within Adobe Illustrator following conversion.
• Conversion of shapes, graphics, and design elements created in Photoshop—including shape layers, smart objects, text, and effects—into authentic vector paths or objects in Illustrator whenever practicable.
• Full functionality to modify colors, gradients, fills, strokes, and other design properties directly within Illustrator, consistent with artwork originally produced as native vector content.
• Retention of raster format solely for photographs or realistic image elements; all other design components (including logos, shapes, and graphical elements) shall be vectorized and fully editable.
• Identification and disclosure of any raster-based elements that cannot reasonably be vectorized, including clarification as to whether such elements may remain editable rather than embedded as flattened images.
• Accurate preservation of the overall visual appearance, layout, and design fidelity throughout the conversion process.
• Provision of all corresponding fonts for each file to ensure accuracy and consistency in conversion.
Pursuant to established standard operating procedures and in accordance with Freelancer.com policies governing sensitive or regulated content, any contractor engaged to provide graphic services shall be furnished with an Authorization and Confidentiality Acknowledgment, together with a court affidavit sworn under oath in the Commonwealth of Virginia and executed before a magistrate, prior to the commencement of any work. This requirement is necessary because certain materials may involve the reproduction or depiction of government identification, license plate data, or official public safety communications.
All commissioned services are requested exclusively for authorized law enforcement, investigative, evidentiary, or public safety purposes. Contractors shall be required to maintain strict confidentiality. No materials or information provided in connection with this engagement may be used, disclosed, distributed, reproduced, or otherwise disseminated except as expressly authorized for official purposes.
Freelancer artists with the requisite qualifications and interest in assisting with the conversion of multiple files and the ongoing maintenance of such work are invited to respond to this listing.
