Non-Fiction Book Cover Design

I’m putting the finishing touches on my debut nonfiction title, “When The Promise Meets The Waiting,” and I want its cover to announce me as a best-selling, internationally recognized author from day one. The brief is simple but ambitious:

THE LOOK
Think “presidential” prestige blended with Gen-Z boldness—loud, colorful, yet clean and minimal. It needs to pop on a phone screen and still feel luxurious in print. I’ll supply high-resolution portraits; you’re free to crop creatively (full figure, just the face, half-frame—whatever amplifies the concept). DELIVERABLES
• Two or three distinct cover concepts based on the direction above
• One finalized design, refined through my feedback, delivered as:
– Print-ready PDF (CMYK, 300 DPI, embedded fonts)
– Layered source file (PSD or AI) for future series consistency
– High-res JPG/PNG for online promotion

THE GOAL
This is book one of a planned twenty-book catalog, so a standout style here can evolve into a long-term collaboration as each new manuscript rolls out.
