Non-Fiction Book Cover Contest
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m launching a design contest for the cover of my upcoming non-fiction hybrid memoir and I’d love to see your vision. The book weaves personal storytelling with reflective insights, so the cover has to feel powerful, clean, and emotionally evocative while hinting at subtle spiritual undertones. I’m not married to any single visual approach—minimalistic, illustrated, or photographic treatments could all work—as long as the final design instantly communicates depth and authenticity.
UNDONE is a gripping memoir about Laura's journey from the darkness of domestic abuse—where she lived a double life as a battered woman and beloved youth leader—to complete freedom and purpose. After a prophetic vision reveals both the depth of her captivity and the possibility of escape, she fights her way out and begins an extraordinary healing journey that integrates psychological trauma recovery with intense spiritual warfare. Her personal restoration transforms into a powerful ministry helping other women break free, ultimately leading to a divine calling for global impact. This is proof that our deepest wounds can become our most powerful tools for setting others free, and that no one is too broken for redemption.
**One idea I think I would like to see is a butterfly emerging out of a cocoon the wing that is fully outside of the cocoon is fully formed and gorgeous while the other wing is more translucent and only half way out of the cocoon.
Deliverables I’ll use to choose a winner
• Full-wrap print-ready PDF (front, spine, back) at 300 dpi for a 6" × 9" trim size
• Front-only JPEG optimized for e-book stores (Amazon KDP, 2560 px on the long side)
• Layered source file (PSD, AI, or INDD) so small tweaks remain possible after hand-off
Acceptance criteria
• Typography must remain crystal-clear at thumbnail size
• Colors stay consistent in CMYK and RGB conversions
• All imagery is either original or licensed for unlimited worldwide distribution
