Modern Yachting Resume Design
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I already have a standard land-based résumé and now need it transformed into a polished, modern-style document tailored for the yachting industry. Please re-format the content I provide so it speaks the language of yacht captains and crew agencies while still reflecting my individual experience.
Sections to Include:
1. Contact Info: Name, phone, email, nationality.
2. Profile / Objective: 3–5 lines summarizing professionalism, trade skills, and maritime focus.
3. Key Skills / Competencies:
• Deckhand & seamanship skills: line handling, maintenance, cleaning, safety.
• Business/professional: coordination, communication, problem-solving, client management.
• Trade skills: carpentry, freight/logistics, warehouse, B2B knowledge.
4. Qualifications & Certifications: STCW, Powerboat, Deckhand Course, AMSA medical, Forklift licence.
5. Professional Experience: Focus on transferable skills: teamwork, trade, client/customer management, logistics, carpentry, practical problem-solving.
6. Additional Experience: Trade supply stores, day work, volunteer or physically demanding roles.
7. Education: HSC.
8. References: “Available on request.”
⸻
Tone & Keywords:
• Industry-focused: deckhand, crew, galley, maintenance, safety procedures, line handling.
• Emphasize professionalism, reliability, adaptability, teamwork, trade skills, and hands-on experience.
• Minimize corporate jargon; keep bullet points concise.
A professional headshot must be integrated cleanly into the layout without dominating the page. I’m after a fresh, contemporary aesthetic—clean lines, balanced white space, tasteful typography—optimised for both PDF and print.
Once I send my current résumé and photo, I’d like a first draft within three days, with one revision round to polish the final look.
