Modern Nautical Menu Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m refreshing the menu for “The Wheel Room,” a private yacht-club restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, and I need a designer who can translate a clean, modern aesthetic into unmistakably nautical artwork. Think deep navy and crisp white as the core palette, Ivy Presto Light Italic and Semibold for headings, Bilo Light for body copy, all laid out on facing pages that will slip into an existing folded cover.
The visual anchor should be a large, old-style ship’s wheel—treated as a subtle watermark or lightly screened background—complemented by tasteful rope details or other maritime accents. Balancing elegance with a hint of seafaring character is key; the design must feel exclusive yet contemporary, never kitsch.
Deliverables
• One press-ready page (CMYK, 300 dpi, with bleed and crop marks)
• Editable source file in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator
• A print mock-up PDF to confirm layout before final hand-off
I’ll supply all menu copy once the layout direction is set. If you’ve steered similar hospitality projects or have a portfolio that marries luxury with thematic flair, I’d love to see it and get this underway quickly.
