Modern Logo for Research Center

We are launching the Centre for AI and Data Science Innovation (CADSI) at James Cook University and need a logo that instantly says “cutting-edge AI in the tropics.” I want a simple, memorable mark that balances two ideas:

• The tropical setting of northern Australia
• Our core focus on artificial intelligence and data science

If you can also weave in a subtle nod to our four impact areas: Nature, Health, Economies, and Communities, without clutter, even better, but clarity always comes first.

Please don't include "James Cook University" in the logo design. We will put a separate university logo with the center logo when we use it.

You’ll find background on our work at https://www.jcu.edu.au/cadsi. Please keep the final artwork versatile enough for print, web, email, and social profiles.

Deliverables
– Primary logo in vector format (AI/SVG)
– High-resolution PNGs (colour, black, white)
– Horizontal and stacked orientations
– Brief style guide: colours, fonts, and clear-space rules

Final artwork must scale cleanly from a favicon to a conference banner and remain recognisable in monochrome. If you have questions about direction or need extra context on CADSI’s mission, just let me know. Collaboration at each milestone is welcome.
