Modern ADA Platoon Shirt Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m putting together a fresh, modern shirt for my Headquarters Platoon, in Air Defense Artillery, and I need an experienced designer to translate a very clear layout into production-ready artwork—absolutely no generative-AI imagery, only original design work.
Here’s the canvas: the garment itself will be Coyote Brown. Everything you create should sit well on that background, but you’re free to use any ink colors that read sharply against it.
Placement & copy requirements
• Left shoulder – Official Air Defense Artillery logo. The logo may be stylized but the core components--A missile overlaid above crossed cannons--may not be changed. The attached PNG is the ADA Plaque, which includes the official logo for reference.
• Right shoulder – U.S. flag with the stars facing forward.
• Left chest – a small emblem that carries the line: “Brains of the battle, Heart of the fight.”
• Back – a PATRIOT system launcher silhouetted beneath stars and a moon. Leave a clear area above the artwork for each Soldier’s name and another space below for their job title.
Stylistic guidance
• Overall look: Modern, not ornate.
• Typeface: Bold, military-style lettering that stays legible when scaled.
• Balance the graphic weight so the back illustration feels dynamic but doesn’t overpower the front details.
Deliverables
– Front and back print files in vector format (AI or EPS) plus high-resolution PNG mock-ups.
– All linked fonts outlined or included.
– A brief color call-out so the final production can be ink-matched accurately.
If you’ve produced apparel graphics for military units or similar organizations before, feel free to share a sample; otherwise, a quick sketch or reference concept helps me lock you in faster. Looking forward to working with someone who can honor the tradition while giving the platoon a sharp, contemporary look.
