Middlesex Fells Vintage Posters
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I’m commissioning a set of four 18 × 24 inch posters that celebrate the beauty and biodiversity of Middlesex Fells Reservation in the classic, vintage national-park style. Think bold WPA-era silhouettes, a restrained color palette, and subtle paper-grain texture that feels authentically timeless while still looking crisp on modern presses.
Scope and creative direction
• Each poster should spotlight a different facet of the Fells—iconic vistas, native wildlife, seasonal color, or historic landmarks—and will each poster will also feature a different season in the Fells (summer, spring, winter, fall).
• Style is strictly Vintage as selected, with strong composition, simplified forms, and hand-lettered headings that echo mid-20th-century park posters.
• I’ll need concept sketches for all four pieces first. Once a concept is approved, move on to color proofs and then finals. Expect up to two feedback rounds at each stage.
Technical requirements
• Final artwork delivered as layered vector files (Adobe Illustrator or equivalent) plus print-ready CMYK PDFs with 0.125" bleed and crop marks.
• Include web-optimized PNG/JPG exports and square crops for social media.
• All fonts and textures must be licensed for nonprofit promotional use; please package them with the source files.
What will make the work shine
Accuracy in depicting key trails, ponds, and wildlife unique to the Fells; tasteful vintage color schemes that reproduce well on uncoated stock; and a cohesive set that feels unified yet distinct from poster to poster.
Timeline & collaboration
I’d like initial sketches within one week of kickoff, color proofs the following week, and finals soon after revisions—flexible but aiming for a four-week total window. I’m available daily for feedback to keep momentum.
