Mascot Hand Adjustment in AI

I already have the original mascot in an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file; I simply need the current thumbs-up gesture redrawn so the character’s hand is held flat with the palm facing up. No colour tweaks, shadows, or extra styling—just that single change.
Please work directly in the existing layers so I can continue to edit the file later, and return the updated artwork as a clean, fully-vector .ai file compatible with the latest Illustrator release.
I’ll consider the job done once I can open the file, toggle the layers, and see the new palm-up hand integrated seamlessly with the rest of the mascot, without any stray points or raster artefacts.
