Legacy Files Mac Conversion
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have between 11 and 50 old multimedia pieces—some saved as Adobe Director (.DIR), some as QuickTime movies, and a handful locked in Windows-only .EXE projectors. I need each of them rebuilt so they open natively on a modern Mac as double-clickable standalone applications, without emulators or extra installers.
Because the content was produced with now-retired toolchains, you’ll need working copies of the legacy software (Director, QuickTime Pro, projector builders or equivalent) plus any utilities you rely on for cross-platform porting. The interactive behaviour, audio, video quality, and internal links all have to survive the migration intact.
Deliverables
• Re-created Mac-compatible executable for every source item
• Matching icon, version info and internal file structure where applicable
• Short report that notes the original filename, the steps taken, and any quirks to be aware of
Acceptance criteria
• Launches cleanly on macOS 12 (Monterey) and 13 (Ventura) with no warnings or current Sequoia
• All media and navigation behave exactly as in the originals
• Any missing assets or errors discovered during my verification are fixed promptly
