Lake Erie Vector Redraw

We are seeking a graphic artist to recreate an existing Lake Erie map image as a clean, scalable vector illustration. The current image is derived from a public-domain topographic map and is raster-based; we need a newly created vector version that is easier to adapt for future product labels and branding materials.

The new illustration should closely resemble the original map in overall geography and character, but may be slightly simplified for clarity and visual balance at small label sizes. This is a redraw, not an automatic vector trace.

Scope of Work:

Create a custom vector illustration of Lake Erie based on a provided public-domain reference map

Simplify details as appropriate for label use while preserving geographic accuracy and recognizability

Produce clean, professional linework suitable for premium spirits packaging

Ensure the artwork works well at multiple scales and in limited color palettes

Deliverables:

Fully editable vector files (AI and/or SVG)

High-resolution exports (PDF, PNG) for review and production

Final artwork suitable for print and digital use

Rights & Ownership:

The final artwork must be an original creation

Full ownership and exclusive rights will transfer to us upon final payment

No reuse, resale, or portfolio use without permission

Ideal Experience:

Strong illustration and vector drawing skills

Experience with maps, cartography-inspired graphics, or label/packaging design preferred

Attention to detail and ability to balance accuracy with aesthetic simplicity
