My 32-page children’s manuscript is ready and fully paginated; each spread already has rough thumbnails, scene notes, and text placement. Would love characters to somewhat match those the story is about, so willing to provide photos for resemblance. The story follows a devoted dad with a traumatic brain injury and his two lively kids, balancing everyday struggles with unconditional love. Now I need an artist who can translate those moments into engaging, emotionally resonant visuals.
Style & palette
I’m open on illustration style—cartoonish, realistic, or whimsical could all work—provided the pages feel cohesive. I first imagined soft, pastel tones, but I’m equally willing to explore brighter or mixed palettes if they help the artwork glow with joy and warmth.
Deliverables
• 32 full-page, print-ready illustrations (300 dpi, CMYK) matched to my page layout
• Front and back cover artwork with title space preserved
• Layered source files (PSD, Procreate, or AI) plus flattened finals in PDF/TIFF
• Up to two revision rounds per spread to fine-tune character expressions and color balance
