Illustrator for Artistic City Map Tracing
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
I am seeking a reliable and detail-oriented freelance illustrator to assist with a short-term artistic mapping project. The work involves precise vector tracing of city streets using Adobe Illustrator, based on Google Maps images provided by me.
Each task consists of tracing streets from 33 cm × 33 cm square map blocks, following specific visual and technical standards that will be shared at the start of the project.
This is a piece-based project with a large, clearly defined scope and consistent work.
Scope of Work
Trace city streets and road networks from the provided 33 cm × 33 cm Google Maps image blocks
Produce clean, accurate vector line work in Adobe Illustrator
Follow detailed visual, stylistic, and technical standards
Maintain consistency across all files
Organize layers and files according to project guidelines
Project Details
Approximately 1000 individual map blocks in total
Tracing only (no labeling, design, or data entry)
Estimated time per block: 10–20 minutes, depending on complexity
Work will be delivered in batches
A paid test batch (5–10 blocks) will be required before continuing
Compensation
This is a piece-based freelance project, paid per completed and approved block.
Freelancers are invited to propose their own rate per block or a total project price based on the scope described above.
