Illustrative Termite Mound Poster

Job ID: 39968915

Budget: $30 – $60 USD

I need an A2-size, print-ready poster that reveals the inner architecture of a Macrotermitinae termite mound found in Kenya. Think of it as a vibrant classroom or exhibit piece: richly illustrated yet rooted in earth-tone, natural colours.

Content scope
• Show the full mound structure—chambers, vents, fungus gardens, queen and king chambers, nursery, foraging tunnels, everything.
• Integrate the life-cycle stages (egg, larva, worker, soldier, alate) and clearly depict the different castes and their jobs, so students instantly understand who does what.
• Keep all labels scientifically accurate; I will supply taxonomic spellings and reference videos shot on site.

Visual style
Illustrative and colourful rather than photo-realistic, but still detailed enough to satisfy a biology lecturer. Earth tones should dominate so the piece feels natural, with brighter accents only where they help the reader navigate the diagram.

Deliverables
1. High-resolution CMYK PDF ready for A2 printing (594 mm × 420 mm, 3 mm bleed).
2. Layered source file (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Affinity) so I can tweak text later.
3. A web-optimised JPEG/PNG for online sharing.

Acceptance check
• All three focus areas—structure, life cycle, castes—visually covered and correctly labelled.
• No copyrighted elements borrowed from the Tanzanian poster; everything must be original artwork.
• Colours remain consistent with the natural palette and print specs.

I’m happy to provide sketches, reference photos and short field videos to guide you once we start. If you love bringing natural history to life through illustration, I’d love to see your portfolio and discuss timelines.
