Illustrative Apparel Graphics Designer Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I run a growing apparel decoration shop and am looking for a long-term freelance apparel designer who understands the production side of screen printing, embroidery, and DTF printing.
Most weeks I need artwork created or cleaned up for T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and jackets. I'm looking for someone who can consistently create production-ready apparel graphics, not just marketing graphics or logos.
Typical projects include:
Fundraiser shirts
Corporate apparel
Blue-collar and trades designs
Automotive and motorsports graphics
Union apparel
Event merchandise
Outdoor and lifestyle brands
I will provide the concept, garment colors, print locations, and customer requirements. You will create sketches, develop the artwork, and deliver production-ready files.
Required Skills:
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Apparel graphic design
Vector artwork creation
Screen print separations
Spot color artwork
DTF artwork preparation
Mockup creation
Deliverables:
Editable vector files (AI, EPS, PDF)
High-resolution PNG mockups
Print-ready artwork
Color callouts when needed
Organized layered files
Preferred Experience:
Screen printing industry experience
Understanding of underbases, halftones, trapping, and ink limitations
Knowledge of embroidery stitch limitations (This is flexible and not needed)
Ability to create artwork that is production-friendly
Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days, with occasional rush projects.
To apply, please include:
Apparel design portfolio
Examples of screen print separations
Examples of vector recreation work
Typical turnaround times
Pricing structure
This will begin with a paid test project and may become an ongoing partnership for the right designer.
