Illustrated Mystery Fiction Book Cover

I’m preparing to launch my fiction novel—a fast-paced mystery—and I need an illustrated cover that instantly signals intrigue. The artwork should feel atmospheric and suspenseful rather than graphic-heavy, leaning on mood, lighting, and a compelling central image to pull readers in.

Here’s what I need from you:
• Full wrap design: front, spine, and back, laid out to my printer’s exact trim, bleed, and margin specs (which I’ll supply as soon as we start).
• A high-resolution eBook version sized for Kindle and generic EPUB.
• Source files (PSD or AI) with organized layers so small tweaks can be made later.

The title, subtitle, and blurb are final; once the illustration is approved, you’ll drop those in using a legible mystery-genre font that complements the art. Color mode must be CMYK for print, RGB for digital, and final PDFs should pass pre-flight checks.

Your illustrative style—whether hand-drawn, digital painting, or vector—is welcome as long as the final piece feels polished and professional. If you routinely work in Procreate, Photoshop, or Illustrator, mention it so I know what file types to expect.

Turnaround: initial concept sketches within one week, finals a week after revisions. I’ll provide written feedback at each stage and sign off before you proceed.

When you deliver the finished files, I’ll test them on my printer template and Kindle previewer; once they check out, I’ll release the milestone and leave prompt feedback.
