Illustrate Norse Ouroboros Tarot

I’m developing a custom tarot deck and need an illustrator who can translate my vision into production-ready artwork. The visual language is a Norse-inspired ouroboros coiled around a gumbo-limbo tree. Please use the exact palette I have in mind: deep red bark for the tree, a blue serpent, and gold-plus-yellow highlights.

For this first, low-budget phase I’m looking for a focused proof of concept:

• One fully rendered sample card (front illustration only) in 300 dpi, 2.75" × 4.75".
• Layered source file (PSD, Procreate, or AI) plus a flattened high-resolution PNG.
• A brief style guide noting line weight, shading approach, and the specific color codes you used so the same look can be scaled across the remaining cards.

Acceptance criteria: clean hand-drawn line art (no AI), print-ready resolution, editable layers for every major element, and faithful use of the color scheme above.

If the sample meets expectations, a separate agreement for the full 78-card deck is possible but not guaranteed. Please include links to two or three pieces from your portfolio that show mythology-based or symbolic illustration so I can confirm we’re a stylistic match.

All artwork created by the illustrator will be credited in the tarot deck booklet but will have no other monetary connection to the sale or use of the work purchased by the concept creator of the tarot deck. The concept creator will acknowledge the artist work if it is used in this project or any other.
