Finalize Artistic Book Cover
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I already have the front-and-back layout sketched out in an artistic, abstract style; it simply needs a professional polish before it heads to the press. The main tweak is the typography: I’d like the current placeholder text replaced with a clean, readable serif that complements the abstract theme without overpowering it. Beyond refining the font, I need a quick once-over to be sure margins, spine width, bleed, colour profile (CMYK), and overall resolution meet standard book-printing specifications.
Please work in whatever you’re most comfortable with—InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop—as long as I receive both the editable source file and a print-ready PDF at the correct trim size. If you’ve guided books through Lightning Source, KDP, or offset printers before, you’ll know exactly what to check: embed fonts, flatten transparencies where needed, and keep black text on a single colour plate.
Acceptance criteria:
• Final serif font chosen and applied throughout cover
• Front, spine, and back aligned to supplied template with 0.125" bleed
• Colours converted to CMYK, rich blacks corrected, no RGB elements remaining
• Print-ready PDF and layered source file delivered, both passing pre-flight without warnings
Once these points are met I’ll sign off, and the files can go straight to my printer.
