Fantasy Tarot Foil Journal Designs
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I’m producing a hardcover journal that will feature a series of fantasy-inspired tarot illustrations (12 total) pressed in gold foil on the front cover. I need bespoke artwork—rich in atmosphere, cinematic lighting, and clear line work—that translates beautifully to a foil stamping plate.
Here’s what will help the project succeed:
• Final files supplied as layered vector artwork (AI or EPS) plus 300 dpi CMYK proofs for reference.
• Clean, closed paths and solid, single-tone shapes suitable for foil blocking (no gradients on the foil layer).
• All card borders and central motifs kept within a 5 × 8 in print area so they drop straight into the journal template I already use in InDesign.
After I approve the rough pencil comps, you’ll ink, separate the foil layer, and hand over press-ready files. I’m flexible on the illustration style as long as it feels fantastical and the silhouettes read instantly when converted to metallic.
