Freelance Commercial Printshop Prepress Technician Needed
We are looking for an experienced freelance Prepress Technician for a commercial printshop environment.
Requirements:
Strong experience with commercial print file preparation
Knowledge of bleed, trim, safe zones, and print production standards
Experience preparing files for:
Digital printing
Large format printing
Offset printing
Ability to preflight and correct PDFs before production
Understanding of CMYK color management
Experience packaging fonts and linked images
Ability to check resolution and print quality issues
Fast turnaround and attention to detail
Software Experience Required:
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Acrobat Pro
Preferred Experience:
Fiery XF
EFI Fiery
ONYX
Canon / Epson / Océ workflows
Imposition setup
Variable data printing
Booklet/manual setup
Large format production files
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare customer files for print production
Fix print-ready issues
Set up bleed and crop marks
Organize files for production workflow
Communicate regarding file corrections when needed
Ensure files are production-ready before printing
