Engaging Historical YouTube Thumbnails
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I’m preparing a new batch of YouTube videos and the historical series is going live first, so I need an eye-catching thumbnail (or a small set, depending on your concept) that instantly signals “history” to viewers while still looking fresh in the feed.
Core concept
• The thumbnail must feature recognisable historical figures—portraits, busts, silhouettes, or any creative treatment that fits the topic.
• Colour grading, typography and layout should evoke a sense of the past without feeling dusty; think cinematic teasers rather than textbook covers.
Secondary uses
Once this historical design language is locked in, I’ll adapt the same visual energy to upcoming horror, vlog and story episodes, so design choices should be versatile enough for future tweaks.
What I need from you
• A polished thumbnail delivered in 1280 × 720 px (max 2 MB, .PNG & .PSD).
• A quick preview mock-up on a typical YouTube page so I can judge click-through appeal.
• Source files layered and well-labelled for easy text swaps later.
How to win the job
Send me a detailed project proposal outlining your concept, workflow, and turnaround time. Feel free to include references or prior work if it helps illustrate your idea, but the proposal itself is what I’ll weigh most heavily.
I’ll review proposals as they arrive and move fast once I see a concept that nails the historical vibe while staying adaptable for the horror, vlog and story thumbnails that follow.
