Educational Pocketbook Design & Illustration

I have a 40-page pocketbook that translates local legal and procedural information into everyday language, and I need it to read as smoothly as it looks. Your task is to take my edited manuscript and turn it into a fully laid-out, print-ready booklet that pairs clear typography with engaging cartoon-style illustrations. Because the text can be dense in places, most drawings will live in the main content pages, guiding readers through key steps and concepts.
I’m leaning toward a cool-color palette to keep the tone calm and trustworthy, so please plan your swatches accordingly. Typography should stay highly legible at pocket size; I’m open to your font suggestions so long as they complement the illustrations and pass accessibility checks.
Deliverables
• Complete 40-page layout in Adobe InDesign (or equivalent) with linked graphics
• Original vector illustrations in cartoon style, layered and editable (Illustrator or compatible)
• Press-ready PDF (CMYK, 300 dpi, bleeds) plus a web-optimized PDF
