Cape Cod and Islands Map & Labeling

Project Description (Post This)
I am looking for a designer/cartographer to create a high-quality nautical map of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and surrounding islands (Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and the Elizabeth Islands) suitable for 30” x 40” wall display.
The map must be:
Geographically accurate using provided NOAA nautical charts
Visually refined based on a supplied template
Clean, readable, and suitable for large-format printing
This is not a concept project — accuracy and execution matter.
What I Will Provide
NOAA chart JPEGs (source of truth for all geography)
A template example (for layout and style)
A detailed instruction PDF (attached)
Project Structure (2 Milestones)
Milestone 1 — Base Map ($30)
Stitch NOAA charts into a seamless, to-scale map
Include all required geography (Cape Cod, islands, Elizabeth Islands)
No seams, distortion, or misalignment
- Payment released after approval of accuracy and working file
Milestone 2 — Labeling & Final Design ($30)
Add all towns, islands, and water labels
Include additional features (beaches, bays, etc.)
Remove unnecessary text and finalize design
Deliver print-ready file
- Payment released after final approval
Key Requirements (Summary)
Must match NOAA charts for accuracy
Must match template for style
All towns must be labeled (even if not shown on NOAA charts)
Elizabeth Islands must be clearly included and labeled
Water labels must be correctly placed in water (not on land)
Final file must print cleanly at 30” x 40”
Deliverables
Print-ready JPEG (300 DPI at full size)
Layered working file (PSD or AI required)
Preview for approval
