Canva → Illustrator Conversion Specialist (On-Call / As-Needed)

We’re a trust-driven growth marketing agency focused on helping values-led founders scale through ethical, predictable marketing systems. Our team primarily designs digital-first assets in Canva for use in email outreach and online campaigns.

Occasionally, clients request print-ready versions of these designs. For that, we’re looking for a skilled "Canva → Illustrator Conversion Specialist" who can take our finished Canva flyers and recreate them as professional, print-ready vector files in Adobe Illustrator.

This is a flexible, on-call role - we’ll reach out when a project comes up, and you’ll provide a quote based on the scope of work.

> What We’re Looking For
- A detail-oriented designer who can accurately recreate Canva designs in Illustrator with high fidelity.
- Someone experienced in vectorizing layouts, typography, and visual elements for professional print use.
- A strong understanding of print requirements (CMYK, bleed, margins, export settings).
- A reliable communicator who can quickly assess a design and provide a clear turnaround time and rate.
- Someone comfortable working from finalized designs (not creating from scratch, but refining for production quality).

> Responsibilities
> > Canva to Illustrator Conversion
- Take completed Canva designs (typically flyers or one-pagers) and rebuild them in Adobe Illustrator.
- Ensure accurate replication of layout, spacing, typography, and colors.
- Replace or recreate any elements that do not translate cleanly into vector format.

> > Print Preparation
- Prepare files for professional printing (CMYK color mode, bleed setup, proper margins).
- Convert typography to outlines and ensure all assets are print-safe.
- Export final files in appropriate formats (AI, PDF, EPS as needed).

> > Project-Based Collaboration
- Review each request and provide a quote based on complexity.
- Communicate clearly on timelines and any limitations or adjustments needed.
- Deliver clean, organized files ready for handoff to print vendors.

> Requirements
- Proven experience using Adobe Illustrator for vector recreation and print production.
- Strong understanding of prepress and print-ready file preparation.
- Ability to match designs with high visual accuracy.
- Experience working with Canva exports (PDF/PNG) as source files.
- Reliable communication and responsiveness for quick-turn projects.

- Type: On-call / As-needed
- Rate: Project-based (you provide a quote per request, paid via milestone payments), Quote must be in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
- Volume: Occasional, based on client needs
